This weekend is Valentines Day weekend -- and Chinese New Year (xin nian kuai le. Unfortunately my sweetheart is in North Carolina and I'm in chilly Utah missing him so much. So, no romantic adventures for me this weekend; instead I'll be home doing homework and making my best effort to get through this semester. I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend at home with my books -- and eagerly awaiting a surprise in the mail from Michael. I've been saving a gift card to a day spa that my niece Karen gave me last summer; this weekend may be the perfect time to redeem and head to the day spa.
Michael and I are in wedding mode getting details planned for our big day. We (I) keep changing my mind on colors. We were thinking black, ivory and a deep rich red (because it would look great with Michael in his Marine uniform). However, since June 21 is the first day of summer, maybe red is too heavy for such a warm and sunny day? I'm open to any suggestions you have for color combinations or ideas so please send them my way.
We also have planned to have the theme based around a Celtic theme and I'm looking for maybe a little Irish quartet or duo to sing Irish and Celtic songs. If you know of any, let me know or again -- I'm open to any suggestions. I've sent out lots of email to string quartets, a few Irish groups, Irish dancers, and a bagpiper. However, haven't decided that any of the options are just right. I may sound indicisive, however in business school we call that a "maximizer" -- maximizing resources for optimal results. :-)
Happy Valentines weekend to you all. Happy Chinese New Year as well -- may you feel loved this weekend no matter your situation, and may this new year bring with it all you hope for.
Love, Michael and Sarah

There are some groups I have heard at the Scottish festival in Payson that may be available. Let me see if I can track down the names for you.
